These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of digitalseocompany.com and any services purchased from Digital SEO Company (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Company”), operated by DigitalSEOCompany.com . By purchasing a service, using our website, or engaging us for consulting work, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to these Terms.
If you don’t agree with any part of these Terms, please don’t purchase our services or use this site — and feel free to reach out to support@digitalseocompany.com with questions first.
1. Description of Services
We provide technical SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Local SEO consulting services, including but not limited to:
- Technical SEO audits (via Semrush and other industry tools)
- Google Search Console indexing issue diagnosis and fixes
- Robots.txt and XML sitemap optimization
- Website loading speed optimization
- Crawl error cleanup
- Schema and structured data (JSON-LD) markup implementation
- AI search optimization, including llms.txt configuration
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
- Post-engagement monitoring reports, where included in the selected package
Specific deliverables and scope are defined by the package selected at purchase (see our [Pricing / Payment Policy]) or by a custom written proposal for bespoke engagements.
2. No Guarantee of Results
This is the most important section of these Terms, and we want it to be genuinely clear rather than buried in legal language.
SEO, AEO, and GEO outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including but not limited to: search engine algorithm changes, competitor activity, your industry’s competitiveness, your website’s age and existing authority, decisions made by AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and others) about what to cite, and changes you or third parties make to your website after our work is delivered.
We do not and cannot guarantee:
- Specific search engine rankings or ranking positions.
- A specific increase in organic traffic, clicks, or impressions.
- Citation or mention within any AI search tool or answer engine.
- Any specific timeline for results to appear.
What we do commit to is delivering the technical work, audits, and optimizations described in your selected package, performed to a professional standard consistent with current SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices. Improved visibility is the goal of this work, not a contractual guarantee.
3. Client Responsibilities
To deliver our services effectively, we may require:
- Access to relevant platforms (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, your website’s CMS or hosting).
- Timely responses to requests for information, approvals, or access.
- Accurate information about your business, target audience, and goals.
Delays caused by a client’s failure to provide timely access or information may affect delivery timelines, and we’re not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control.
You’re responsible for maintaining backups of your website before we make any changes. While we take care to avoid disruption, we recommend having a current backup in place before any technical work begins, particularly changes to robots.txt, sitemaps, or site structure.
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms, accepted methods, refunds, and cancellations are governed by our Payment Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. By purchasing a service, you agree to both these Terms and the Payment Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
Deliverables: Once paid in full, you own the specific deliverables created for your project — audit reports, schema markup code, written recommendations, and similar materials produced specifically for your engagement.
Our methods and materials: We retain ownership of our underlying processes, frameworks, templates, and any proprietary tools or methodologies used to produce your deliverables. Purchasing a service doesn’t grant you rights to resell, redistribute, or repackage our processes or templates for use with other clients or projects.
Your content: You retain full ownership of your website, its existing content, and your brand. We claim no ownership over anything that was yours before or remains yours independent of our specific deliverables.
6. Confidentiality
We treat information shared during an engagement — including Google Search Console data, business information, and login credentials — as confidential, and we won’t share it with third parties except as necessary to perform the work (e.g., using industry-standard tools like Semrush) or as required by law. We ask that you extend the same confidentiality to any non-public methodologies or materials we share with you during the engagement.
7. Third-Party Tools and Platforms
Our services make use of third-party platforms, including but not limited to Google Search Console, Semrush, and other SEO tools. We are not affiliated with, and are not authorized representatives of, Google, Semrush, or any other third-party platform referenced in our marketing or deliverables. We aren’t responsible for outages, policy changes, or pricing changes made by these third parties that may affect our services or your results.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital SEO Company’s total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost traffic, or lost business opportunities, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law, including relevant consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
9. Website Changes and Technical Risk
Technical SEO work (robots.txt changes, sitemap updates, schema implementation, speed optimization) involves modifying your website. While we follow industry best practices and test changes carefully, no technical change is entirely without risk. We are not liable for issues arising from:
- Changes made to your site by you or third parties after our work is delivered.
- Pre-existing issues on your site unrelated to our specific work.
- Conflicts with plugins, themes, or custom code we did not create.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement with written notice. If you terminate before work is complete, refund eligibility is governed by our Payment Policy. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to any client for reasons including non-payment, abusive conduct, or requests to perform work that violates search engine guidelines or applicable law (for example, manipulative link schemes or deceptive content practices).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Digital SEO Company harmless from claims arising from your misuse of our deliverables, content you provide that infringes third-party rights, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
